ABOUT THE videos:
So Many Galleries Synopsis
So Many Galleries documents countless visits to New York art galleries by artist Eloy, who's in search of making a connection and landing a show. A Parsons-trained painter and artist, Eloy has lived and showed in various venues in the 5 boroughs of New York, but while looking for a solo show in Manhattan, he takes along a small video camera to record the experience of soliciting the old-fashioned way; going door-to-door. So Many Galleries puts the viewer in the shoes of the artist, condensing the reactions and advice of the gallery owners and employees into a humorous montage. Each individual visit as well as the full parts to the documentary; which has five parts so far, are being disseminated throughout the chapters and story of Flip to the End. Below is part 1.
A brief interview in English and Spanish about a mural I painted in the South Bronx about a cultural center called Casa Del Sol.
